David J. Boggs is an in-house consultant working as an insurance claims analysts.  Mr. Boggs assists counsel and the firm’s clients with contested insurance claims, principally in the areas of environmental liability and finite risk (cost-cap) insurance coverage.  Mr. Boggs has worked with large insurance carriers and he has a working knowledge of their claims practices and procedures.  

Mr. Boggs was most recently employed by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Montana as Account Executive for the Large Group Division, which handled employer groups with more than 1000 employees.  In this position, Mr. Boggs worked directly with large industry groups and companies on their insurance packages, making buying and service recommendations.    Mr. Boggs would recommend and initiate a variety of services including policy review, stop loss review, reinsurance adjustments, network review, prescription program review, and physician contract review.   This division of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana grew from 150,000 to over 225,000 insured customers during Mr. Boggs’ term of employment.

Prior to joining Blue Cross, Mr. Boggs was the President and CEO of Creative Benefit Designs, Inc., a $2 Million a year broker and insurance consulting firm that placed commercial insurance packages for companies of various sizes.  Mr. Boggs helped establish tailored and customer specific protocols that were used to analyze insurance packages, allowing these companies to reduce their overall risk and to better understand their insurance needs. 

Previously, Mr. Boggs worked with the consulting firm of Landa-Harbaugh & Associates, LLC of Montana.  This firm directly consulted with large national companies on their insurance and investment packages.  Mr. Boggs was responsible for the corporate benefits division a unit which developed cost-saving programs for clients by establishing self insurance policies and through the use of varying levels of reinsurance, aggregate insurance, adjusted attachment points, and risk and claim adjusting programs that utilized third party administrators ( TPA).
